Putting Diversity & Inclusion at the heart of what we do
We understand that building a truly diverse workplace takes more than words. It requires actions. Below are just some of the initiatives we have put in place to make sure diversity and inclusion is embedded across everything we do.
- We have a dedicated diversity & inclusion manager
We have a dedicated Diversity & Inclusion Manager and Diversity & Inclusion Committee who are passionate and drive our D&I Strategy, making recommendations for improving and promoting and equitable, diverse and inclusive environment.
- We follow and support the best practice guidance
Gi Group follows and supports the best practice guidance set out by professional bodies such as the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC). A respect for diversity is one of the main guiding principles enshrined in the REC’s Code of Professional Practice. Our strategy is to demonstrate this respect for diversity by adhering to all applicable legislation, encouraging equal opportunities in recruitment and establishing working practices to safeguard against prejudice.

Disability Confident is a government scheme designed to encourage employers to recruit and retain disabled people and those with health conditions. Gi Group are committed to supporting disabled people in obtaining and retaining employment by:

- All of our employees receive diversity & inclusion training
Every employee within Gi Group receives Diversity & Inclusion training, to create a shared understanding of diversity and inclusion across the Group. The training covers topics including, the protected characteristics, unconscious bias and also how we can all work to break down certain barriers for under-represented groups throughout the recruitment lifecycle.

We are members of Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion which enables us to collaborate with other members on best practice and keep up to date with solutions developed to help combat EDI issues.

We are members of Inclusive Employers who advise on all aspects of EDI. Our membership gives us access to expert knowledge, advice and information on diversity and inclusion issues to help us continually keep our working practices up to date.
Supporting our clients
To support our clients with their diversity and inclusion goals we have:
- Ensured that job adverts are written using the Gender Bias Decoder, minimizing the use of masculine/feminine language.
- Provided training to recruiting managers to ensure objectivity.
- Made hiring managers aware of the Disability Confident Scheme to promote equal opportunities.
- Developed attraction campaigns specifically targeted at under-represented demographics to encourage diversity of applications.
Meet our Diversity and Inclusion Committee
Gi Group has established a Diversity & Inclusion Committee dedicated to fostering greater diversity and inclusivity across our entire organisation, including Gi Group, INTOO, Marks Sattin, Grafton, and Tack TMI. This Committee plays a pivotal role in promoting awareness of equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout the company and in driving the implementation of meaningful solutions. Our goal is to cultivate a work environment where every individual feels empowered and comfortable to bring their authentic selves to work, to the extent they desire.
